  *An intergovernmental meeting that determines the rules of Post-Kyoto Protocol
• Dalian (China)
  One of the China’s Eco-Model Cities which overcome serious air pollution with industrial success.
• Hamburg (Germany)
  Awarded "European Green Capital 2011" by the European Commission (EU)
• Portland Metro (U.S.A.)
  Revitalizing the downtown through the improvement of public transportation system (e.x. streetcar) in metropolitan area.
• Stockholm (Sweden)
  Awarded "European Green Capital 2010" by the European Commission (EU)
• French Government (Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development, and Sea)
  Promoting sustainable urban development with the Grenelle Environment Forum (Le Grenelle de l’environnement)*
  *A forum to address climate change.

  Promoting low-carbon policies on a local government basis such as "The Covenant of Mayors"* and "European Green Capital".
  *A commitment by mayors of signatory cities and towns to promote low-carbon society
